Conservation in the Developing World

I have found a correspondence to an entry to the Journal Science. The writer tells us that in the developing world, the popularity towards wanting to save the animals is a rare feeling, when they themselves are trying to make their lives better. Interestingly, in Indonesia, locals wonder why they don’t get the help Orang Utans get, since the locals are Orang Utans (forest people).
